A National Level Essay Competition for school children of class IX to XII is
being held as part of Foundation Day Celebrations of ICAR, Ministry of
Agriculture, Government of India. Children desirous of participating shall
submit their compositions, duly certified through their respective Schools, so
as to reach the Council by 15th June 2025, on the following topic:
“Global Climatic Changes and Its Effect on
Agriculture” (“Vishva Jal-vayu Mein Parivartan Aur Krishi Par Uska Prabhav”)
There shall be one First Prize of Rs 10,000/= and 1 Second Prize of Rs 5,000/=
in each language category with a citation certificate, i.e. a total of 4 prizes.
The 4 prize winners shall be informed by post and the winners will be invited to
receive their prizes on 16th July 2025, during the ICAR Foundation Day
Celebrations at NASC Complex, Pusa, New Delhi. TA limited to AC III tier /
sleeper / chair car (subject to submission of photocopies of railway / bus
tickets) and free boarding and lodging to the winner and one accompanying adult,
in the NASC Guest House, Pusa, New Delhi, from 15th – 17th July 2025 shall be
provided. Winners from Delhi shall not be eligible for TA and free boarding /
lodging. The winning entries shall be displayed in the ICAR website also.

Eligibility and Rules

Entry is open to all Indian students in classes IX - XII

Essays must be of approximately 1500 words.

Submissions must be neatly handwritten in double space, on one side of white
lined 8.5” x11” paper (A-4 size).

First page must only show the title of the essay, student’s name, class, name
of school with school address and phone number, and Principal’s name.
